Shapel Lacey

Shapel Lacey is a Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian. A diehard punk music fan and former award-winning competitive cheerleader, he has always had a passion for selfexpression. After making his teammates laugh during practice, his collegiate cheer team dared him to try stand-up, and he never looked back. Shapel turns personal chaos into comedy. His material is sharp, honest, and unexpectedly heartwarming, balancing vulnerability with undeniable charm. He is currently selling out venues across the country, is a paid regular at the world-famous Comedy Store, has been named on 2026 the Netflix Shortlist, and performs alongside comedians including Matt Rife, Bill Burr, and Trevor Wallace. When he’s not on stage, he’s the frontman for his punk band, Mad Peaceful, or co-hosting his podcast, Cooked in the Comments.
